Time

Life's stage births voices clear,

In memory's dance, they appear,

Past echoes, future's near.

Afterlife

Flesh aids the soul's flight,

Key and door in spectral light,

I march on, despite.

Poem

Uneducated lover

At twenty-seven, felt that spark begin,

She lit a blaze, inspired deep within.

The stories she’d share, the deeper I’d dive,

Even in her flaws, I found reasons to thrive.

She spoke of old flames, their touch on her soul,

Every joy, every pain, she laid out whole.

Through her truths, her spirit I saw,

Imperfect, real, in awe I was drawn.

But shadows of her past still dance in my mind,

Haunting my heart, the love they left behind.

Jealousy stirs, deep in my veins,

This feeling, this envy, in love’s bittersweet pains.

Now’s the time to rise, from shadows I’ve cast,

To show her my heart, prove this love’s meant to last.

No more retreats, no safety’s embrace,

It’s time to be bold, lay it all in this chase.
